retail hell
I have been standing in the garland bass pro shop for over an hour while my son waits his turn to check out a bambii killing instrument! This is crazy! I am crazy! Allow me to vent, why aren't stores equipped with adequate staff, especially this time of year? Have I become an old complaining fart? Huge retail stores spend zillions of dollars to lure us suckers in then have no one to help us fools!

Here's my theory on why stores don't adequately staff their check-out lines--they don't want you to get through the line fast. They want you to wait and buy some impulse purchases while in line....BUT, look, they don't have to hire more checkers because consumers don't demand better service. If every person left a store because the line was long, then stores would learn they can't get away with one check-out girl on a Saturday afternoon in Christmas. Instead, we wait in line. Why should they diminish their profit by hiring more staff if we don't demand better? The worst stores--Kohl's and Wal-Mart.
Agreed, but don't you list two of the most popular retail stores in the world. Add to it Bass Pro. Why do we go, it is cheaper! If you want to pay high prices you can get better service, there is a trade off and consumers make it consistently just ask any small town retailer, what consumers pick.
By the way love to see REVEREND Doug in a retail store for over an hour on a Sunday when his last post was all about the confused meaning of xmas.
I agree with TGP...:-) Funny stuff!
